Before this, when we spoke about choosing the right Chola Sahib for your Darbar, we realised it’s not really about making a decision. It’s about pausing for a moment… and noticing what feels right to you. And as that feeling becomes clearer, something shifts. You stop seeing a Chola Sahib as just a choice, and begin to understand what it truly means.
When we hear the words Chola Sahib… it may sound like something elaborate. Something defined. Something that has a fixed meaning. But honestly… it is much simpler than that.
In the Simplest Words
A Chola Sahib is simply… a piece of cloth that we offer to Guruji Maharaj. That’s it. A cloth that we place in His Darbar. A cloth that touches Him. A cloth that we offer with love.
Why Do We Call It “Sahib”?
If it is just a piece of cloth… why do we call it Chola Sahib?
Because the moment something becomes a part of Guruji’s Darbar… it is no longer ordinary. Anything that is associated with Guruji, anything that touches Him… becomes sacred.
And that is why we add Sahib. Out of respect. Out of love. Out of reverence.
Everything in the Darbar Becomes Sacred
In Guruji’s Darbar… even the simplest things carry a different presence.
A table placed there… feels different. A chair placed there… feels different. Because it is not about the object anymore. It is about where it is placed… and who it is for.
And in the same way… a simple piece of cloth… becomes Chola Sahib.
It Is Not About the Material
The Chola Sahib can be: simple or detailed, cotton or velvet, plain or embroidered. It does not matter. Because its value does not come from: the fabric, the cost, the design. It comes from the offering.
What It Becomes
The moment that cloth is offered… it is no longer just cloth.
It becomes: something you keep separately, something you handle with care, something you fold with respect.
Almost like… you don’t treat it the same way anymore.
A Small Note from Me
For me, the meaning of Chola Sahib is very simple. It is not about what I am offering. It is about the fact that it is being offered to Him. And that alone… changes everything. A simple piece of cloth… becomes something I cannot look at in the same way again.
