Banawat
Not made to impress.
Made to belong
WHAT BANAWAT MEANS AT EVAM ASTU
Banawat is not about
how much is added.
It is about knowing
what must not be.
Every Chola Sahib is created with a single intention,
that it settles naturally in Guruji’s darbar,
without overpowering the space it enters.
We do not design for decoration.
We design for alignment.
THE PROCESS
1. Thought (Bhav)
Every design begins with a feeling. A bhav that guides the entire Chola Sahib.
Before fabric, before motif
there is meaning.
2. Placement (Santulan)
Each element is placed with restraint. Not to fill space, but to respect it.
Every thread, every motif,
is considered in relation to
the darbar.
3. Creation (Karigari)
Crafted through detailed embroidery
and finishing, each piece is brought
to life slowly, carefully.
Not rushed. Not replicated blindly.
But completed with intention.
MATERIALS THAT HOLD PRESENCE
We work with fabrics that carry depth
velvet, satin, organza, net.
Not chosen for luxury alone, but for how
they sit, flow, and reflect light within
the darbar.
DETAILS MATTER
Every detail you see
has been placed with care.
And everything you don’t see
has been intentionally left out.
Because Banawat is not excess.
It is restraint.
