Simple Daily Rituals in Guruji’s Darbar || Guru Ji Darbar Set Up ||
(A gentle way to stay connected every day)
Before this, in how we offered bhog in Guruji’s Darbar, we saw that even the simplest offering becomes complete with bhav. And from there, what remains is not doing more… but staying connected in small, quiet ways.
When we think of “daily rituals”, we often imagine structure, rules, timings, procedures. But with Guruji, it has never been like that.
There Were Never Any Fixed Rituals
Guruji never asked us to follow a set of rituals. He never created a system that needed to be followed in a particular way.
And if you have ever been to Guruji’s Bada Mandir… you would have felt this.
There are no pandit ji's, no elaborate procedures, not even the bells we usually associate with temples.
There is just… Shabad Bani.

The Power of Shabad Bani
In many satsangs, it is shared that when Guruji was in his physical form, he would often ask for Shabad Bani to be played.
Different shabads… at different times… for the sangat present there.
And what is most beautiful is this,
Guruji’s sangat included people from all backgrounds. Many didn’t even understand Punjabi, which is the language of most shabads.
But Guruji would always say:
You don’t need to understand it. Just listen.
Because the listening itself… heals.
So What Can a Simple Daily Practice Look Like?
It can be very simple. You don’t need hours. You don’t need preparation.
You can just:
- Sit in Guruji’s Darbar
- Light a diya
- Be still for a few moments
And then, gently… do the mantra jap that Guruji has blessed us with.

The Mantra Jap
You can chant:
Om Namah Shivaye, Shivji Sada Sahai
Om Namah Shivaye, Guruji Sada Sahai
Even for five minutes. That’s enough.
Guruji always said… even remembering Him for a few minutes in a day is enough to bring peace.
Just Sit… and Talk
After that, you don’t need to “do” anything.
You can simply sit. And talk to Him.
Because Guruji is not something distant. He is there. Present. Listening. Looking at you.
We often feel like we need to reach Him. But the truth is… He is already connected to us.
It is us… who need to feel that connection.
A Small Note from Me
For me, daily rituals have never been about doing things perfectly.
Some days, it’s just lighting a diya.
Some days, it’s sitting quietly.
Some days, it’s just talking… without even realizing. And in all of that… I feel the same thing.
That I have been given the chance to sit there. To be present.
And that itself… feels like a blessing.
And from here… it all comes back to something even more subtle.
What bhav really means in Guruji’s Darbar…
is something that cannot be explained, only felt.
I will share that next.
Evam Astu.
With folded hands for Guruji Maharaj.
